Ordering and Shipping Information

MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^®

Ordering: Please email or call Sally (508-430-1626) to place a hat or accessory order. Be sure to include your UPS shipping address in order to receive a complete order total inclusive of shipping/handling charges. Prices on all MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® products are subject to change without notice. Please order your Derby and Royal Ascot hats early - additional charges will be applied for any rush orders.

Payment: Check or money order in US dollars made out to “MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^®” and mailed to: MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^®, 929-B Rte. 28, P.O. Box 929, South Harwich, MA 02661 (Please use complete address in order to ensure delivery of your payment.). Sending your payment overnight/express mail will help to ensure that the shipment process is quicker. Money Gram payment is also accepted and are useful if delivery of your order is needed quickly. Your hat/accessory will be created and then shipped to you upon receipt of payment.

Shipping/Handling: Freight, insurance, and packing fee charged to the customer. Shipping generally with UPS unless other arrangements are made.

International Shipping/Handling: Bank check or money order payment only for all international orders. Freight, insurance, and packing fee charged to the customer. Any duties and tariffs incurred on the delivery end of shipment are the responsibility of the customer; Maggie Mae Designs is not responsible for any additional fees incurred once the hat is delivered to its destination. UPS shipping services are used for all shipments, unless other arrangements are made. A moderate handling charge of $40 minimum will be applied per item ordered.

Shipment: Creation of your lovely hat or accessory begins once payment is received; items in stock can generally be shipped within several days after payment is received. Sending your payment overnight/express mail or Western Union will help to ensure that the shipment process is quicker. For non-rush orders, orders take between 4-6 weeks from receipt of order payment to create and then ship unless other arrangements are made; custom orders and wedding orders may take longer, please inquire. Derby hat orders generally take 5-7 weeks to complete and then ship (after receipt of payment). This time frame will change as the volume of Derby hat orders increases. Last Derby season, our order volume nearly doubled and turnaround time had to be adjusted; many customers had to be turned away when it simply got too late to fill the orders. For late orders, rush order charges may need to be applied in order to get your order to you in time; late orders may also require Next Day Air shipping with UPS which adds considerably to the total cost. So please place your Derby hat orders early! Rush orders - Rush orders are generally doable and charges will depend upon the order as well as the date by which you need your delivery. Please ask for rush order charges as well as speedy UPS shipping services for shipments needed more quickly; there is no return on Rush Order items; there is no refund on any Rush Order charges. Sending your payment (check or money order) overnight/express mail or Western Union will help to ensure that the shipment process is quicker.

Damage as a result of shipment: Each MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® product is created and shipped with great care, and is also fully insured. When your shipment arrives, if it is badly damaged in any way please refuse it and call MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® at 508-430-1626 or email Sally right away. MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® will then file the appropriate damage report once the hat is returned to the MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® studio. If you choose to accept the damaged package, you are then responsible for contacting the delivery provider yourself regarding the damage that occurred due to shipment and filing a damage report. From that point on, MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® will remain in close contact with you to see that the matter is resolved.

Returns/Refunds: Each and every MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® product is created custom especially for you, and great care is taken to ensure that you are ordering an item that will suit your needs. Due to the nature of custom millinery and accessories which are personal wear items, beginning March 13, 2008 there are no returns/refunds on any MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS^® products unless an item is defective. Returns made within 5 days of receipt can be made for size adjustments only and at the shipping expense of the customer. There are no refunds on any Rush Order charges or regular shipping charges. Return shipment charges are the responsibility of the customer. Great care will be taken that your hats and accessories are made according to your specifications. To help ensure that you are going to be pleased with your purchase, please be careful to measure accurately with the instructions given for Hat Sizing when you order a hat. In addition, please be specific if there are special construction requests for your hat order with regard to brim width, crown height, etc. It is also strongly recommended that you send or request swatches or email photos if there are special color and/or fabric matching considerations with your order.

Alterations: Should there be a need for alterations on your order after it is delivered, there may be an hourly alterations charge applied for selected orders; the charges for alterations are to be determined on an individual order basis. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. Please ship any hat or accessory being sent for alterations in its original container and with its original shipping materials if possible to ensure its safe travel! Thank you!
